# Telvera

> Telvera is a B2B API for phone number verification by an incoming call (reverse flash call). Your server
> creates a verification, the user calls the number we return from their own phone, the call is dropped before
> it connects (free for the user) and you get the result in about 2 seconds via webhook. No SMS, no codes.
> You pay only for verified numbers, in prepaid check packages that never expire.

Key facts:

- How it works: `POST https://api.telvera.io/v1/verify` with the user's phone → response contains `call_to`, the number the user
  must call. A call from that phone to `call_to` within one minute verifies it. Result — webhook
  `verification.verified` / `verification.expired` (HMAC-SHA256 signed) or polling `GET /v1/verify/{id}`.
- Billing: one check is deducted only for a verified number. Failed, expired and sandbox
  verifications are free. Packages from 100 checks; 100 free checks after sign-up. Volume discounts.

- Sandbox: test key `sk_test_…` — real call to your own account number, nothing is deducted.
- Integration: a REST API with JSON; typically one evening — one request, a "Call" button, a webhook handler.
  Replaces an SMS OTP provider without rebuilding sign-up.
- Privacy: phone numbers in verifications are anonymized after 90 days. HTTPS only.
