1.General provisions

The policy applies to the telvera.io website, the dashboard and the Telvera API. Reading the policy is your right. We do not require you to “accept” it as a condition of using the service.

2.Who processes whose data

Telvera handles two kinds of data, and the service's role differs for each.

Our clients' data — we are the controller

These are the companies and developers who sign up in the dashboard: sign-in phone, payer details for invoices, payments, support requests. We are responsible for this data.

Our clients' users' numbers — we are the processor

When a client verifies their user's phone through the API, they pass the number to us. We process it only on the client's instructions and only to confirm the number. The client is the controller of this data: they inform the user about the verification and obtain consent where required. The terms of processing are set out in the contract with the client.

3.Purposes, data, grounds and periods

Each purpose is listed separately below. We do not process more data than the purpose requires and do not use it for anything else.

4.Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising. To run the service we engage processors:

  • Hosting provider — storing service data on servers in the Republic of Belarus: DataHata LLC, Minsk
  • Mobile operators — receiving incoming calls to Telvera numbers: list of operators
  • Payment provider — accepting card payments: bePaid (Republic of Belarus). We never receive or store full card data

Each of them has signed a contract with confidentiality and data protection terms. Data may also be provided to public authorities in cases expressly provided for by law.

5.Cross-border transfer

Data is stored on servers in the Republic of Belarus. We do not transfer clients' data abroad except as described below.

If you verify numbers of users from other countries, the number to call may belong to a mobile operator of that country. In that case call data passes through the mobile operator of the respective state. The list of countries with an adequate level of protection is set by order of the National Personal Data Protection Center No. 14 of 15.11.2021.

6.How we protect data

  • All connections to the website, dashboard and API are HTTPS only
  • Only staff who need it for their work have access to data, and access is logged
  • Clients' users' numbers are shown masked in the dashboard
  • API keys are stored only as a hash; the full key is shown once, when it is created
  • We report personal data breaches to the National Personal Data Protection Center within 3 business days

7.Your rights and how to exercise them

Under Law No. 99-Z you have the right to:

  1. Obtain information about what data of yours we process, why and on what grounds — we reply within 5 business days, free of charge
  2. Find out who your data was shared with over the last year — once a year free of charge, reply within 15 days
  3. Correct incomplete, outdated or inaccurate data — within 15 days
  4. Withdraw consent where processing was based on it — within 15 days
  5. Demand that processing stop and the data be deleted if there is no lawful ground for it — within 15 days
  6. Appeal our actions to the National Personal Data Protection Center (cpd.by)

How to submit a request

Send the request in writing to the controller's address (Pobediteley Ave. 7A, office 28, 220004 Minsk) or as an electronic document to privacy@telvera.io. State your full name, address, date of birth, the substance of the request and your signature (or electronic digital signature), as required by art. 14 of Law No. 99-Z.

If you are a user of an app where your number was verified through Telvera, contact the owner of that app: they are the controller of your data. We will help them fulfil your request.

8.Cookies

The website and dashboard use only technical cookies and browser local storage: to keep you signed in and to remember the language, currency and country selected in the phone field. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies.

9.Changes to this policy

If we materially change the policy (purposes, periods, the data processed or how rights are exercised), we notify you in advance in the dashboard and by email. The current version is always available on this page.
